ARIZONA PILOT STUDY – OPEN ENROLLMENT

Title:  Pilot Study in Enhanced Cancer Rehabilitation with Epigenetic Repatterning Technology (ERT) Adjunctive Therapies

Brief Summary:  Non-randomized, non-blinded and unregulated pilot study providing Epigenetic Repatterning Technology (ERT) to 6-8 women and men diagnosed with any type and any stage of cancer.  Enrollment is open and based upon recommendation by the treating oncologist.

Purpose:  1. To provide preliminary validation of the efficacy of ERT adjunct therapies.

                     2. To determine the feasibility and acceptability of ERT adjunct therapies.

                     3. To document criteria for insurance reimbursement of ERT adjunct therapies.

Therapy Description:  Patients will receive ERT (Epigenetic Repatterning Technology) divided into the two therapy subsets of POP (Physiological Optimization Protocols) and BEAT (Behavioral Epigenetic Adjunct Therapy).  Therapy sessions are 60 minutes, fully attended by a facilitator, and will be delivered through medical devices, wellness devices, individual one on one therapy and/or optional small group activities.  Therapies are both automated (passive) therapies and interactive therapist-guided by a facilitator with or without devices.  Therapy session are tailored to the patient’s specific needs and in consideration of their physical comfort, energy level and attention span. Therapies do not require any physical exertion.  Additional information on therapies is available by clicking here.

Program:  The pilot study group will remain small (6 – 8 patients) to ensure that all patients receive ample individual care and support.  There will be two therapy sessions per week with Shauna Mathis. It will not present a problem if a patient needs to miss a therapy session for any reason, as the schedule for this particular program is customized to individual patient needs.  See the program curriculum for detailed information.

Duration:  Patients will proceed through the program at their own pace as they will be receiving one on one therapy with a facilitator.  The expected duration of the program is 3 – 4 months.  Patients are not required to complete all 3 modules of the program but must complete any module that they begin.

Patient Criteria: Patients must be under the active care of an oncologist and have the physical resilience for 60 minute therapy sessions which will be relaxing and require no exertion.

Facilitator:  Shauna Mathis, founder of Epigenetic Health Systems will be the facilitator for this pilot study.  Although she is trained as an alternative medicine physician, she will be only be facilitating ERT therapies and will not be providing any type of alternative medical care whatsoever.

Fees: The majority of the costs for this program are being subsidized.  The fee for the 60 minute individual EOT therapy with a facilitator, including medical device and wellness device therapy, is $150 per session.  Each patient will have two 60 minute individual therapy sessions each week.  Fees are set based on subsidization of costs including medical devices and wellness devices.  Optional group therapy services will be provided at no additional cost to patients.

Start Date and Location:   The study is underway and accepting new participants.  Pilot study groups are forming in Sedona Arizona and expanding into other regions in the state.  Contact us if you want to participate, as we will begin new pilot study groups upon request in other Arizona cities including Phoenix.

Additional Information:  This small group pilot study is unique for 4 reasons:  1) patients will have one-on-one therapy sessions (60 minutes) with founder Shauna Mathis for all modules that they participate in, future modules will be primarily small group sessions   2) patients will progress through the modules at their own pace, to meet their individual needs and preferences  3) patients have the option of participating in a single therapy module instead of all three therapy modules  4) program costs are being subsidized and thus the fees are lower for this particular group of patients.
